For over eighty years Farnborough has been synonomus with aircraft. The aerodrome was,until the 1980's,the towns main employer,and it continues to dominate the landscape.Although the bi-annual SBAC air show dominates the head lines, Farnborough has probably contributed more to aviation than any other single site in the world.
